Whats wrong with my sub/amp?

here's the story, i have a 10" kicker comp and an MTX amp, when i hooked them up it didn't work. then one day i was just messin around with the wires and i got it to work.. i turned my car off after a half hour drive and later when i turned my car back on, nothing worked. the red light comes on when i turn my car on but nothing else happens. all the fuses, wires are good. grounds connected so its not that. and im pretty sure its not blown cuz i wasn't even pounding it and it doesnt make any noise or anything at all....HELP!!!!!
