Nervous about EMT-B cl?!? Any EMT-B graduates?? help?

Congratulations on your choice to begin your career as an EMT-B. You first cl is CPR for the Health-care Provider. Mainly this is the same as CPR for everybody else. You will learn to apply the AED and perform CPR at 30 compressions and 2 breaths per minute. As an EMT-B mainly, you will learn the drugs you can IST with: and you will perform hands on practical skills. You should check www.youtube.com for EMT medical essment, EMT trauma essment, C-spine immobilization, ET intubation, CPR and one random skill which could be long bone splinting, short back-board, bleeding or traction to the leg. Do not worry you will have lots of practice time. Remember BSI (Body substance isolation) and the scene is safe! You will say this before every station ALWAYS! The info attached is for Ohio. Be safe and have fun!!!
