Ps3 makes me lose my wireless internet connection???? GRRRR?

every time i turn the ps3 on it signs me into psn... then when i go to play cod (thats the only game i have tried so far) it kills my wireless net connection.. it makes my laptop lose connection too.. so annoying! can anyone help me fix this? or tell me why?
