Why canada is being left-out?

I think because Canada is basically a socialist government, versus a capitalist government, they are not considered an economic news-maker. And, right now the news is focused on the effects of the U.S. economy because of how it has affected the rest of the world. I live in the U.S. on the Canadian border. I visit Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto on a fairly regular basis. I've always considered Canada one of the worlds best kept secrets. Its a fabulous country. But, as far as news goes, they are a quiet country. Not much happens there that affects the rest of the world. That is the kind of news that is reported on CNN, BBC, etc. Good question.
