Stuck on which degree is best for me.?

I want to eventually get a career in forensics as a criminalist.I was looking at programs at Ferris..however their biochemistry and chemistry are both a bachelors of arts.Easter has a bachelor of science in biochem and chem,,,however they dont have forensic...and I kinda want to minor in forensics to get my foot in the door. I want a bachelor of science. I want to get a degree that wont limit me or keep me stuck.This is the one reason I don't want to get an undergrad degree in forensics...because If I can't get a career in forensics...my degree is pretty much useless. Would a degree in biology or chemistry be better for my plans?,,I plan on getting a graduate degree in forensics.
