Im trying to remember a movie, It is like We Own the Night, I thought it was that movie, but its not.?

basically its a cop film, similar to we own the night , except in the end, after a grocery store shootout, theyre driving away, and he stops and gets out to face a gang of thugs, and he gets his *** kicked and killed, leaving his brother in the car or something im not sure I cant remember all the details, but I think he sacrificed himself and just said "**** it" and got beat to death, whats the movie title ?
